      Jakarta, Jan 31, 2012 (ANTARA) - A beautiful Sunday morning turned into a nightmare for Teguh Hadi Purnomo and his six relatives, who hailed from Jepara, Central Java, when suddenly a minivan hit them and killed four of them.
     Teguh and his family members had just returned from sightseeing at the National Monument (Monas) Park when the car driven by allegedly drug- and alcohol-influenced Apriyani Susanti ran over them and three other pedestrians on a sidewalk near a bus stop in Gambir, Central Jakarta, and killed nine people and injured three others on January 22, 2012.

Jakarta, Jan 29, 2012 (ANTARA) - Known as East Indonesia Paradise for its beautiful maritime scenery and unique marine biota, Morotai Island in North Maluku Province is gearing up Sail Indonesia Morotai (SIM) 2012.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on January 24, 2012, issued a presidential decree on the implementation of SIM which will be held in the Morotai Island district on September 8, 2012.

MK'S RULING EXPECTED TO SHED LIGHT ON ACEH INTERNAL CONFLICT by Fardah

Jakarta, Jan 17, 2012 (ANTARA) - The peace that prevailed in Aceh following the signing of the Helsinki peace accord in 2005 was recently rudely disturbed by a spate of shooting incidents that has left around six people dead and several others injured.

A number of politicians, political experts and government officials have linked the violence in Aceh to conflicts within Aceh`s political elite concerning the upcoming regional head elections in the province.
